Here's a micro-trend starting to take off on the runways: the use of bare nail beds as a deliberate part of the nail art design. It used to be that every millimetre of the nail had to be covered up in polish, but not anymore. At the Spring 2015 shows for Charlotte Ronson and here, Dion Lee, the look was all about "negative space."
(I also love this look because it's soooo much easier to achieve at home!)
For Dion Lee, nail artist Miss Pop created a design using a thick stripe of metallic along one side of each nail. The inspiration was light reflectors that provide little flashes of light to catch the eye.
