Eye cream is kinda like mascara. People are REALLY finicky about it, and what works for some might not do the job at all for others.
Allow me to explain my personal eye cream preferences, then. I'm more of a lightweight cream-gel kind of girl than someone who loves rich, thick creams. A) I don't need them yet, and B) I can't stand greasiness around my eyes that interferes with my makeup (or God forbid, gets IN my eyes, 'cause that's happened with previous eye creams, too).
Over the years, I've been sent a ridonkulous number of eye creams as a beauty editor. But you know what? I keep returning to this one product (that I received more years ago than I should probably admit). (Don't worry, it's not gone "off" yet.)
It's by the Korean brand AmorePacific, which should tell you something right there because Korea is where it's AT in beauty right now. And it's the Rejuvenating Eye Treatment Gel... which I actually don't even have in "real" packaging, just this sad little lab sample.
See, beauty editors are snobs and we kinda hate using lab samples (I know, we suck). A product has to be very, VERY good for a lab sample to compete when you have your own personal Sephora in your bathroom. And believe me, this IS.
Here's what it looks like on the inside.
It's not a cream but a cream-gel. That's like the best of both worlds: hydrating enough to nourish the delicate under-eye area, but not at all rich or greasy, so you can use it day and night. I'm telling you, cream-gels are gonna take over soon in skincare textures. I love 'em. And with this product, a tiny bit goes a long way... hence why I still have some left!
In terms of ingredients, it contains some natural extracts, antioxidants and radiance boosters, and is meant to not only help with fine lines, but also improve dark circles and puffiness. I don't really deal with the latter two concerns, but I've been very happy with how well-hydrated it has kept my eye area. Hopefully it's a gonna keep wrinkles at bay!
Here's the full ingredients list; note that it's formulated without parabens, sulfates or phthalates.

Okay, and the last thing is that it's pricey. Damn pricey. Am I crazy for recommending a $95 eye cream? Maybe. But when I compare it to so many eye creams I just didn't feel the love for (and abandoned mid-way through, so they're now languishing in my beauty closet), I can easily see the value here. Honestly, I feel like the cost per wear has been $0.25 or less, I've made the contents of this jar stretch for so long! Let me know what you think?
