Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick

Get out your shopping list—it's time for another round of Beauty Products Worth Buying This Month!

As usual, I've done the edit for you, testing my way through the dozens of launches that crossed my desk here.

These are my top picks for March!

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick

If you're a Bite Beauty lipstick lover (and who isn't?), here's some news: the old Luminous Crèmes are being replaced as of this month by the new Amuse Bouche collection. I can't remember what their predecessors were like, but I do find these VERY similar to the Maple Matte Crèmes (minus the scent and with less of a sheen). They're so creamy and rich but feel super-light on the lips—everything a lipstick should be. There are 34 shades; I tried six. From left to right: Gazpacho, a true blue-red; Beetroot, a bold berry; Honeycomb, a beige nude; Chai, a mauve brown; Black Truffle, a black violet; and Spritzer, a plum rose.

My picks are Honeycomb, because it's a unique warm light peach-beige nude (so pretty!), and Chai, because it's one of those '90s brownish marsalas, very "your lips, only better." You probably have something similar to the reds and berries already; the purples are just too out there for me. But there are 28 more to choose from...

Burt's Bees Brightening Daily Facial Cleanser

Forget that this cleanser claims to be "brightening." Cleansers aren't on your skin long enough to do anything about that. But Burt's Bees Brightening Daily Facial Cleanser is still a really nice natural cleanser, particularly for normal to dry skin. The texture is like a creamy lotion, and it's sulfate-free and 98.7 percent natural. (Woohoo!) Unlike most cream cleansers I've used, it does clean your skin thoroughly, without leaving any weird film behind. Theoretically, some of the plant extracts in here might be a problem for very sensitive skin, but I've had no issues at all. (Note: Cetyl and cetearyl are "fatty" alcohols; very different to alcohol denat.) Overall I'm impressed, especially for this drugstore price point.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery PowerFoil Mask

I thought this pic would get your attention! Estée Lauder has a new twist on the sheet mask: a foil-backed sheet mask. Each Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery PowerFoil Mask is saturated in nearly half a bottle of Advanced Night Repair ingredients, plus hyaluronic acid and calming botanical extracts. The foil prevents evaporation and makes it all penetrate 25 times faster. When you take it off, oh my goodness—your skin is hydrated beyond belief. Pricey but worth a look if your skin needs some TLC.

New Formula X The Fix Nail Treatment

I am IN LOVE with Formula X The Fix. Between this and the new nail polish remover (which I'll get to in a sec), my weak, peeling nails are looking 957 percent better than they have in months. This is a five-in-one nail treatment that brightens, strengthens, corrects, protects and smooths in one step. It has a slight pink tint with a hint of iridescence, along the same lines as Dior Nail Glow. Except it's better than Nail Glow because it has so many therapeutic benefits. For the last couple of weeks, I've been doing two coats daily on bare nails (using Delete All daily as well), and my nails are transformed—they're longer and stronger and not peeling anywhere near as much. I'm into the clean look of shiny natural nails that it gives you, and it could not be lower-maintenance to apply. If you have problem nails, The Fix is a must-own.

Marc Jacobs Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner

One of the best beauty tricks I ever learned—which you should definitely try, if you haven't already—was filling in the roots of my eyelashes, right along my upper inner eyelids (a.k.a. waterlines). It automatically makes your lashes seem thicker and your eyes stand out more, without looking like you're wearing eyeliner, which is genius. The appropriate tool for the job is a skinny eyeliner, and you might recall me raving about Clinique's Skinny Sticks last year. But now I think I like the new Marc Jacobs Fineliner Ultra-Skinny Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner even better—it's a bit smoother and is actually waterproof, drying down super-fast. It only comes in two shades, black and white. Unless you're into the Heidi Klum look, I'd go for Blacquer!

Benefit Hoola Zero Tanlines Allover Body Bronzer and Benefit Dew the Hoola Soft Matte Liquid Bronzer

If I were heading somewhere hot and sunny this month, I'd pack these two insta-bronzing products instead of doing the self-tanner thing. (I can't be the only one who just hates self-tanner now? The whole process is annoying, and the streaks and scent are so ick.) Enter Benefit Hoola Zero Tanlines Allover Body Bronzer. It's a gel that gives you an instant, buildable matte bronze colour that is transfer-resistant and lasts for 12 hours. Perfect for pasty white legs! For your face, there is Benefit Dew the Hoola Soft Matte Liquid Bronzer. Key words here: MATTE and LIQUID. I can't stand shimmery bronzer on my face, nor do I like powder textures. This gives you a gorgeous, subtle, sun-kissed look that isn't too dark or "makeuppy."

Essie Spring Collection

Essie's spring polish shades are out, and it's a pretty little selection! The theme is Palm Beach, so the colours are inspired by things like palm trees, flamingos and kitschy summer prints. Pool Side Service, a cerulean blue, and Sunshine State of Mind, a "coral tangelo," are my favourites. I'm gonna direct you to Beautygeeks for the swatches, because nobody does those better!

Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque

As soon as I read the ingredients list for Dermalogica's new Charcoal Rescue Masque, I got excited. As you may know, charcoal is a hot commodity right now in the health and beauty worlds because of its ability to absorb impurities. (Fun fact: It's used in some hospitals to treat poisoning, since toxins will bind to it. Whenever I drink alcohol, I take a spoonful of activated charcoal in water when I get home!) This mask also includes kaolin and bentonite clay—you can read more about bentonite benefits here. And that's not all; there's also lactic acid, the star of cult favourite exfoliator Lotion P50, and niacinamide, the best brightening agent. I would use this mask during PMS time to treat and prevent breakouts, or whenever my skin needed a little extra brightening.

New Foreo Iris Illuminating Eye Massager

I've had the Foreo Iris Illuminating Eye Massager on my desk for the past few months, and oh my goodness, using it is so relaxing! From the same people who made the Luna (which I shared my love for here), the Iris is made from safe silicone and uses sonic pulsations to gently stimulate the eye area. In fact, it's actually designed to mimic the fingertip tapping motion that skilled estheticians use in facial massage—how cool is that? It really does feel that way, and should help with puffiness, bags, dark circles and even fine lines (although I'm semi-skeptical about the latter). It should also improve the absorption of your eye creams and serums.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Metallic Luster Liner

I'm pretty sure I haven't left the house in months without some kind of illuminator at the inner corners of my eyes, amongst other locations. My latest is this Metallic Luster Liner from Anastasia Beverly Hills. At first, I thought it was going to be another boring glitter liner, but once I tried it, I was hooked. Rather than glittery, the shade Liquid Gold is the most beautiful light-catching metallic with fine shimmer. It's subtle, not obvious, glides on like velvet and stays put all day (it's waterproof). It also comes in silver.

Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecting Base

As I mentioned in the Tarte post, a few of you have been asking about what to apply on your lips underneath matte lipsticks. Dry, flaky lips are a problem, but you don't want some greasy balm underneath either. The answer is a product like Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecting Base (or the Tarte Lipsaver Treatment Primer I talked about yesterday). It's part lip primer, part matte balm, and leaves your lips hydrated and smooth; ready to receive colour on top. This definitely fills a gap in the market, because I've been searching for matte balms for years!

Bioderma Hydrabio H2O

I am a devoted and loyal user of Bioderma micellar water, and not a day goes by when I'm not dipping a Q-tip or soaking a cotton pad in the original Sensibio H2O to touch up or remove my makeup. But, now I've got another option: Hydrabio H2O, which is a formulated specifically for dehydrated and sensitive skin. So it's going to be even gentler than the Sensibio. This is alcohol-free, soap-free and paraben-free, and requires no rinsing. No difference in efficacy!

Formula X Delete All 5-Finger Nail Polish Remover

I've already devoted an entire post to profess my love for Formula X Delete All, which I've decided is the best nail polish remover of all time. A quick recap: It's a jar filled with a remover-soaked sponge, with holes for your fingers. Dip in your tips in—all five at once!—and within seconds, all your polish is gone. Nothing does the job faster. I'm changing my polish far more often because of this.

T3 PROi Professional Hair Dryer

Now we arrive at the part of the post where I endorse a $400+ hair tool. Well, for that price, could you expect the T3 PROi Professional Hair Dryer to be anything less than amazing? Its powerful motor, ionic technology, multiple air concentrators and heat and speed settings mean you're getting truly salon-quality performance. I've been a T3 fan for more than a decade now, originally using the Featherweight and in the past year, the Featherweight 2. But the PROi is that extra bit faster and quieter, and leaves your hair feeling actually healthy, gosh darn it. I usually air-dry my hair, so the Featherweight is sufficient for my needs, but if I heat-styled daily, I would seriously consider upgrading to the PROi. It's a big investment, but if it keeps your hair in better condition and saves you time in the mornings, it might be worthwhile.

Paul & Joe Spring Collection

Cuuuuuute! That's my main sentiment about Paul & Joe makeup in general, and specifically their spring 2016 novelties. Cats and tigers on my packaging? Yes and yes. This is a Clé de Peau-type deal where you have to buy the cases separate to the inserts, which is a little annoying, but at least the prices aren't as exorbitant. I'm dying over the cat compact, floral eyeshadow case and jungle lipstick case. Plus, how perfect is this coral shade for spring?

Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Nail Polish

More spring nail colours! Marc Jacobs did six soft pastels in his Enamored High-Shine Nail Polish this season; a bit predictable but still really pretty. (The one I'm missing is Resurrection, a pale pink.) I'm most drawn to the mint green, Good Friday, and the lavender, Sundays Cool. Vampy Varnish has some swatchies.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation and Aquacealer Concealer

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation

Last up, a product I just sang the praises of yesterday—the new Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation. So far this year, I've reviewed foundations from Chanel, YSL and NARS, but this is the best one! I love it because the colour match is perfect for me (Fair-Light Neutral), the finish is very natural (despite it being a medium-to-full coverage) and it doesn't look or feel greasy on the skin. More thoughts over here—actually, their entire spring collection is amazing.

Conclusion

So many great things this month! I hope you agree. I think I'm the most personally thrilled with the Formula X stuff and how it has transformed my nails—but there is so much here that I'm using on the reg, from the Bite lipsticks to the Foreo gadget to the T3 hair dryer.
