17 incredible beauty looks

Every once in a while, there's a beauty look that renews your appreciation for the world-class makeup artists and hairstylists who work with celebs.

For me this week, it's Margot Robbie's. I can't think of anything further from the one-size-fits-all YouTube/Instagram makeup of which we're all growing weary!

Besides Margot, I was impressed by Emma Stone, Ana de Armas, Mandy Moore and so many other leading ladies lately. Here's your fresh batch of beauty inspiration:

Margot Robbie

What I like: Margot's neon yellow eyeshadow, of course! Pati Dubroff did this makeup, and you can truly see her artistry at work. Notice the more subdued orange hue sweeping up to the brows; the absence of false lashes; and the flushed pink lips and cheeks. It doesn't match the dress, and that's the ENTIRE point. Wet hair makes it even more stunning. I'm in awe! What I'd change: Nothing.

Emma Stone

What I like: Emma's smooth retro waves, pinned back on one side. This is among my all-time favourite hairstyles! The makeup is on the heavier side, but the application is flawless. I love the dramatic smoky eyes and feathered brows, and that peach lipstick is super-unique. What I'd change: Nothing. But personally, I prefer there to be one element of freshness/bareness, such as the skin or the lips, just to keep it youthful and balanced.

Ana de Armas

What I like: Ana's healthy glow and high ponytail (wrapped with a piece of hair). Who wouldn't want to look this natural and radiant?! Notice how the bronzer/blush is warm, while the lips are a pinky stain. The cat eyes don't overpower her, and the lashes have a good texture. I even like the heavily darkened brows. What I'd change: Nothing.

Mandy Moore

What I like: Mandy's vintage waves, which are perfectly positioned to show off the cool earrings and floral detail on her left side. I'm still loving her brow shape and texture, and the natural-looking lashes. The lipstick is orangey, but not matchy-matchy. She has been looking more beautiful than ever lately! What I'd change: Nothing.

Olivia Munn

What I like: Olivia's mint green eyeshadow, boldly applied underneath her eyes. Celebs really are getting more experimental! It's an exact match to the ribbon on her dress, but the rest of her makeup is nude. The beach-textured hair loosens everything up. What I'd change: I think the green might've been better in a thinner line, or in the waterlines.

Heather Graham

What I like: Heather's strawberry blonde hair and black liner. Allow me to remind you that she is now 47 years old! I think her skin looks fantastic (and not over-injected). With such striking eyes, all she needs is mascara and gloss. What I'd change: I think the camera is picking up a bit of white HD powder under her eyes.

Rihanna

What I like: Rihanna's sparkling iridescent purple lipstick and eyeshadow. The blush is purple, too, but matte! I, for one, would look like an alien in this colour palette, but on her flawless warm skin, it's amazing. The high ponytail makes it even more dramatic. What I'd change: Nothing.

Alicia Vikander

What I like: Alicia's fresh-faced elegance. She only appears to be wearing a bit of brown shadow to define her crease, a few individual lashes, and some black liner smudged out to create a cat eye. With the plunging neckline and her hair in a high chignon, it's absolutely breathtaking! What I'd change: Nothing.

Hailey Baldwin

What I like: Hailey's '60s-inspired black headband and reverse cat eyes. This is not her real hair, obviously, but she pulls it off. (I'm telling you, she has really grown on me as a model!) Her skin is glorious, with just a hint of contour. What I'd change: Nothing.

Nikki Reed

What I like: Nikki's half-up hair and strong, thick brows. She did a kitten eye instead of a full-fledged cat eye, and I approve of the lashes. The glistening pink shadow and warm rose lipstick are perfectly understated. What I'd change: Nothing.

Julianne Moore

What I like: Julianne's purple smoky eyes. She always favours this shade instead of the typical browns, which wouldn't work nearly as well with her skin tone. To make her eyes pop, there's black liner that smokes out at the edges. Skin is fresh, revealing her freckles, and her hair is in a neat updo. She never makes a wrong beauty move! What I'd change: Nothing.

Zendaya

What I like: Zendaya's beehive. Only she could make it look cool, not overly retro. It helps that the texture is soft, almost crimped, and the makeup is quite modern. I love the monochromatic peach theme, especially on the eyelids. Her skin looks very fresh. What I'd change: I just can't get over the brows. They're too contrived!

Evan Rachel Wood

What I like: Evan's pretty makeup and long bob. She looks so... NORMAL! (Her last couple red carpet appearances have been on the theatrical side.) I find this silvery eye makeup especially pretty, and pairing it with a subdued red lip is more unexpected than a nude. I think we might be seeing a new trend in that respect! What I'd change: Nothing.

Halston Sage

What I like: Halston's rich, creamy berry lipstick. It's an exact match to her dress! I also love her new cut; the mid-length looks a lot more current. I think the lashes work here because everything else is clean and neutral. What I'd change: Her brow tails look over-tweezed.

Jennifer Lawrence

What I like: Jennifer's shimmering silver eyeshadow, paired with a vampy oxblood lip stain. The highlights at the inner corners of her eyes really bring it to life. This is winter makeup, and I'm ready for it! What I'd change: I'm not into the gelled pompadour hairstyle, and the lashes are too long and spindly.

Lea Michele

What I like: Lea's radiant skin and pearly pink lipstick. Yes, I actually do like that '80s lipstick! It pairs well with the skinny black waterlines, long but soft lashes, and straight, centre-parted hair. I think less makeup is always more on Lea. What I'd change: I'm sad that she has jumped on the injections train!

January Jones

What I like: January's new bangs. I also like the shoulder-skimming length. Maybe I'm stuck in 'Mad Men,' but I don't like her hair too long! The hot pink lipstick is great with her skin tone. What I'd change: I SO wish she didn't pile on all that eye makeup, or blush. It's too harsh with her delicate features and colouring! Weirdly, this was done by the same makeup artist Emma Stone used—Rachel Goodwin. If it counts for anything, it does look 1,000 times better on her Instagram:
